Project Overview

Ashtec Order and Quote Management is a comprehensive software platform built for Ash-Tec (an American-based company), designed to enhance efficiency across customer, vendor, and admin workflows. The system comprises three integrated modules:

  • Client-Side Interface (Customer Portal): Enables customers to submit quote requests, view order statuses, and access product catalogs. Though I focused on the CMS-admin side, this portal connects seamlessly with the backend to deliver a user-friendly experience and real-time updates.

  • Vendor Portal (React + Node): A modern, dynamic interface where vendors manage their profiles, receive and respond to quotes, and track order progress. Built with React for the front end and Node.js for the server, this module ensures smooth, real-time interactions.

  • CMS Admin Panel (Laravel + PostgreSQL): Developed by me under the mentorship of my advisor, this core backend handles all administrative functionalities. It manages vendor and customer data, creates and secures user accounts (usernames and passwords), oversees role-based access, and serves as the central hub that synchronizes data across all modules.

I served as the developer responsible for the CMS Admin Panel, working in Laravel and PostgreSQL. Guided by my mentor throughout the project, I delivered a robust, secure admin interface that maintained seamless integration with both the customer and vendor portals. The admin panel streamlined user and data management tasks, ensured data integrity, and provided essential oversight. This tri-module architecture—customer-facing portal, vendor interface, and powerful admin backend—not only improved operational efficiency but also elevated user experience and transparency. The project successfully reduced manual workload, enhanced response speed, and provided a scalable foundation for future updates and business growth.
